Long Beach is a colourful community with yearly cultural and sporting gatherings to draw in local residents and visitors. Long Beach events include race conferences for motor sport fans to enjoy. The Toyota Grand Prix is an element of the Yankee Le Mans series and is a thrilling street race with a virtually two mile circuit. The meeting also has a Pro-Celebrity Race and the events ends with the Miss Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Competition . One of the biggest gatherings in the area is the Long Beach Global Sea Holiday .
This is a fave on the Long Beach events calendar for families to enjoy. There’s live music, seafood booths, humanities and crafts stalls, barbecue and a Swim and Pacific 5k Run. Kids enjoy the pirate ship and re-enactment of pirate swashbuckling with cannons and sword duels. There’s also a treasure hunt, a pirate costume contest and a sandcastle sculpture competition. Music is crucial to the area and the Bluegrass Holiday is awfully preferred.
Yearly Long Beach events also include the Blues Holiday , subsidized by the Kjazz jazz and blues radio station. The line up is always galvanizing and names declared for 2007 include Buddy Guy, Small Richard, Dr John and Robert Cray. As well as the great music, there are food and other sellers.
It’s a party of the South Pacific Islands culture and it is a colorful and joyous affair. There’s music, humanities and crafts stalls, a barbecue and a Dawn Blessing Rite . It’s a chance to go for a canoe ride or a catamaran cruise round the bay. At dusk, the spectacular starts with a smorgasboard, island music and Tahitian and Hawaiian dancing displays.
It starts at the Riverbank Boulevard and each competitor is given a T-shirt. Young folks of 18 years old and under are invited to take part in the King of the Beach Surf Contest. Prizes go to the best 3 rivals in all the classes.
