Perfect Gift, A Puzzle

Is a chum in the hospital? Word search puzzles make great gifts.

You may be bored stupid, especially if you do not like to watch TV all day. This is true also if you are at home in bed for a lengthy period. On the other hand, you would like to think about something just to circumvent the boredom. Word search puzzles make a fab present for confined people.

I learned this in a lengthy infirmary stay. Having a complex surgery done on my feet, to the tune of four hundred stitches and a week’s stay, I was not up to much. Usually quite the active person, I presumed I’d go funny doing nothing. So there I was, staring out the window at the sky. She knew I would not handle the indolence well. Often I’d consult the compendium or lexicon on a point of curiosity.

I could pick right back up where I’d left off. No more attempting to remember the plot of that book and re-reading many pages in great disappointment. In some days, all the puzzles were done. I got many more and searched away the uninteresting hours. Ever since then, I’ve brought word search puzzles to mates in the hospital or merely down with the influenza at home. Each last one has loved this little anti-boredom help. They are somewhat addictive that way, but hey, you learn some new words and can never say you have nada to do.
